In 2025, Pioneer Expeditions supported the Osa Peninsula Expedition in Costa Rica alongside veteran British explorer Sir John Blashford-Snell and the Scientific Exploration Society. Revisiting the tradition of British-led fieldwork established by Raleigh International in the 1990s, the expedition combined exploration, conservation and research in the remote rainforest of the Osa Peninsula. As corporate organiser, Pioneer Expeditions provided regional expertise and logistical support for the building of a bridge with recycled plastic planks , while founder Philip Beale served as Expedition Administrator, coordinating operations on the ground. The project demonstrated Pioneer’s ability to deliver complex, sustainable expeditions in challenging environments.
