The LATA Excellence Awards

The LATA Excellence Awards recognise innovation and excellence from across the Latin American travel industry. Entries are welcome from all LATA members including tour operators, individual hotels, and destinations as well as global businesses such as airlines and major hotel chains. The awards aim to recognise and highlight true trailblazers, innovators and heroes from the LATA membership.

The ICRT LATA Responsible Tourism Awards

Championing responsible, ethical and sustainable tourism practices across Latin America. As the regional awards of the Global Responsible Tourism Awards,  the primary goal is to discover, acknowledge and highlight exemplary initiatives that can be replicated and scaled across the region. The prestigious awards showcase exemplary businesses, projects and destinations that are delivering measurable impact and pioneering innovative solutions.

The gold winners of the LATA Responsible Tourism Awards 2026 will be automatically entered into the Global Responsible Tourism Awards.

Judging the awards in 2026 will be Harold Goodwin, co-founder of The Responsible Tourism Partnership and chair of the judges, Anne-Kathrin Zschiegner, Director of The Long RunChris Haslam, Chief Travel Writer at The Sunday TimesEdgar Weggelaar, CEO of Queer DestinationsMaria Emilia Correl, Co-Founder & Senior Strategist at Sistema B, Quinn Meyer, CREES Manu and Katie Cosstick, Head of Member Services at LATA.

LATA Media Awards

The LATA Media Awards recognise innovation and excellence across the British travel media landscape with a specific focus on Latin America. The annual awards ceremony recognises and rewards articles, blogs and photography that promote travel to and around Latin America.

Judging the awards for 2026 will be Sarah Bradley, Managing Director of Journey Latin AmericaFrances Tuke, PR & Communications Manager at ATTA, LATA member guest judge Daniel Benians from Distinctive Americas, Stephanie Boyle, Head of Communications and Campaigns at the Safer Tourism Foundation, and LATA’s new vice-chair Kirsty Williams, co-founder of Humboldt Travel.

Following a record number of entries, the shortlist will be revealed at the end of June. The awards will be announced at Gaucho Piccadilly on 22 September.
