This year’s LATA Expo Conference on Monday will look at the current demands and trends in consumer travel, with Olivier Ponti sharing data from Amadeus, and Lyn Hughes from Wanderlust Travel Media presenting the results of a reader survey. Simon Calder, our moderator for the morning, will discuss these stats alongside Lyn, Olivier and two LATA members – Jonathan Goldsmith from cazenove+loyd and Bram Evers from Pure! Travel Group.

Our keynote speaker Avivah Wittenberg-Cox will share her insights into the growing demographic of 50+ travellers, no longer one single demographic. Kathy Atkinson from Safer Tourism Foundation will present data-led insights on how the older consumer is travelling, and the potential implications and challenges as well as opportunities that this can bring for tourism businesses. Abigail Best and Tara Schwenk from Lemongrass Marketing will discuss how to reach and market this demographic. Simon Calder will close the conference with a panel discussion between the four speakers.
