In the 1970s, fewer than 200 golden lion tamarins remained in the wild. Today, almost 5,000 roam the Atlantic Forest outside Rio de Janeiro, the result of four decades of extraordinary conservation work by the Associação Mico-Leão-Dourado.

Journey Brazil has supported this effort from day one. We take clients into the forest to meet the field team, walk the canopy corridors, and watch these flame-coloured creatures move through the trees above them.
