We are pleased to present a new tourist destination: the Ruins of Ichxcabal, located near Bacalar’s famous “Seven Colored Lagoon.” Open to the public for just over a year, these are among the youngest archaeological ruins in southern Mexico.

Unlike the more well-known pyramids, here you can still get much closer and even climb the stairs, allowing you to experience the history of the Mayan civilization in a more direct and authentic way.
