Journey Costa Rica has a steadfast commitment to sustainable travel and all itineraries include a conservation fee. Our conservation fee goes directly to Bosque Vivo, a project run by a family of conservationists dedicated to the reforestation of high-altitude forests in Costa Rica. These forests act as watersheds for the vibrant ecosystems of the country. The team at Bosque Vivo collects seeds of the primary species of trees that thrive in the mountains of Costa Rica. Then they grow, nurture and plant saplings in the nearby forests to advance the reforestation of key species.
